When the rain is falling down means the storm is starting now

When the thunders in my eyes it should come as no surprise

And if you should take the time you would slowly look inside

And you’d see there’ REVOLUTION in the corners of my mind

    People get ready
    There’s a train a comin’

You don’t need no baggage you just get on board
    All you need is faith
    To hear the diesel comin’

There ain’t no room for the hopeless sinner
Who would hurt all mankind just to save his own soul

  14. imagreatcaulker-deactivated2011 asked: Hey Lyss, I had a question if you don't mind answering.

How did you do your dreads and did you use anything to take care of them (ie. products, shampoos?)

If you could answer that'd be amazing :)
    Hope your day is great

Hi Katrina!! Thanks so much for your question!! I really do consider myself a dread expert, I put so much of my time and energy into my dreads. I had them for 3 years and to be honest, they eventually just go too big, too heavy, and too in the way. I miss them :(

Here is a post I wrote a few months back.

To start dreads - separate, backcomb, then tighten with a crochet hook. I can literally create a tight mature dread in 2 minutes.  I originally used WAX, but recommend using NO PRODUCTS, no wax, no gels, no sprays, no nothing. You can have no frizz and no fly-aways if you tightened them each week with a teeny crochet hook. You need to buy a .6 mm crochet hook, they are hard to find so look on the internet. Watch this video on backcombing and using a crochet hook!

I would use an all natural shampoo that has no fragrance, no perfumes, and no additives that would sit inside the dread and rot. Jason, Dr. Bronners, Save your Hair are all good brands. Always rinse out with water really well.

I kept mine very clean and tidy - showering when necessary and crocheting them each week. I have tons of pictures if you want to see just let me know!

I hope this helps, if you need more details or info I am here as a reference!!

    Thanks again, talk soon!

    Peace,
    Lyss
